When photographing physical paper with a smartphone, shadows cast by your hands, room lighting variations, and yellow paper tints degrade readability. The Magic Color filter calculates local luminance histograms across RGB channels: it pushes off-white pixels above the dynamic midpoint to pure #FFFFFF while boosting black text and colored ink signatures with contrast saturation.

Scanning Best Practices

• Flat Placement: Place the document on a contrasting dark tabletop or desk.
• Direct Overhead Angle: Hold your phone directly above the document rather than at a tilted angle to avoid trapezoidal distortion.
